Gender Confusion

I was listening to Armstrong and Getty on the radio today, and they read part of a handout given to students at an elementary school in San Leandro, California. This handout suggested that everyone should be sensitive to other students, and instead of referring to them as "boys" or "girls", they should refer to each other as "boy, girl, neither, or both". It also suggested that a person should ask the parent of a child which pronoun to use when speaking to the child. Would they prefer their child be called "he", or "she"? Or would they prefer that neither term be used?

This comes on the tail of another article I read about two lesbians who raised their son "gender neutral", and refused to tell anyone for 5 years whether he was a boy or a girl. They also didn't teach him that he had a particular gender, and encouraged him to wear both boy and girl clothing, and play with both boy and girl toys.

I have to say that the handout given to students ENRAGES me! Yes, there are children with gender confusion, but that is a very miniscule percentage of the population! What they are doing by using this wacko indoctrination is causing MORE gender confusion! Let's look at pure biology. Scientists can tell you whether or not you are male or female. I think that if a child questions their gender, they should receive physchological counseling, not reinforcement of their confusion! The LGBT certainly encourages the kind of brainwashing shown in San Leandro's school district.

Think about where this could lead. Are we destined for "unisex" bathrooms in schools in the future? Will they try to eliminate the word "gender" from our vocabulary? Can you imagine the confusion in a child's mind when they are told that they can choose to be a boy, even though all their life they thought of themself as a girl? It's hard enough for children to learn the basics of education, much less to comprehend these wacked out ideas.

I do think they use one term correctly. I think the term "gender confusion" is perfectly used in this situation. I"m sure the children are very confused about what in the heck these people are talking about. I'm sure these children are very confused about how they have girl or boy parts, but are expected to "choose" which gender they will be. Come on people, stop pushing your brainwashing and political agenda on little children, and wake up and realize that gender exists, even if a small portion of the population are confused.

The gays naturally don't want anyone to acknowledge what gender confusion truly is- because that's just one step away from realizing that homosexuality is biologically incorrect as well.

If that would have been handed out to one of my kids, I would have called the school and complained. Yikes...

Schools are trying to make all of their students feel comfortable and accepted no matter what challenges they are facing. Perhaps they didn't go about it in the best way, but I don't think they are trying to "brainwash" anyone.

Delirious, I join you and call this the height of absurdity. Don't these characters have other more important things to do like improving learning abilities?

Hi D,

I must say that what you are sharing here, goes beyond gender confusion: it is more like mental confusion.
The gender question is not about how one's mind feels or thinks of oneself, it is about biology: if one is born with a penis, testicles and a prostate, one is male (a he); if one is born with a vagina, ovaries and a uterus, one is female (a she), period.
Even if an individual decides to apparently change its gender (and I say apparently, because they do not change your insides [at least not yet], they do not take your uterus out and put in a prostate and vice-versa), he/she is still a he/she no matter what our perceptions tell us...pure biology.

It is quite disturbing to learn that things like the ones you are telling us happen in some parts of the US (or even in Canada): what is going on with people? And I agree with you, it causes even more confusion in society. It must be seriously fought against.

These people are trying to assault good sense and decency *nodding*...

I think introducing this complicated way of referring to people has little positive benefit, and if anything will, as you suggest, simply create gender confusion where none existed before. Boy and girl are perfectly valid terms to refer to someone's physical identity. Their inner identity is another matter, and that can be defined with no reference to boys or girls at all. If anyone's confused, it's the people who're creating this bizarre new terminology.

Vid - Homosexuality is biologically incorrect? Says who, exactly?

Anonymous, this agenda did not originate in the schools, you can be sure. The LGBT agenda is to normalize alternative sexual and gender chosen lifestyles. I don't know where you live, but those of us who live in California recognize what the LGBT is doing. In my mind it is absolute brainwashing of young children. They want to have an influence on the way children think about gender and sexuality. It's not brainwashing in the "waterboarding" sense of the word, but it is a manipulation of their thinking.
