Things I Hate to See

--I was shopping in Trader Joe's today and saw "recycled toilet paper" for sale. I don't even want to dwell on that too long.

--You know the "comb overs"? I noticed Drew Carey now has a "comb forward". I'm not sure yet if I like it any better.

--I was shopping at Walmart and walked past a refrigerator. There was this incredibly bad smell around that area. It was so bad in fact that I contemplated going to the manager and telling him. I thought something must be rotting. A woman had just passed me, and I had thought it must be her that smelled, but then realized it must be the refrigerator. When it came time to check out, I decided I would look for a manager and tell him about the smell. The woman I had passed was standing in front of me in line. I quickly found out it was HER that smelled. In fact, the smell was so bad that I had to back up in line to keep from gagging. I could see that her clothes weren't clean. Being even closer to her, I could now detect that it was body odor mixed with cigarette smoke. I kept wondering how her husband could ride in the same car with her. I can honestly say I have never before in my life seen anyone who smelled that bad.

--One day my son and I were driving home from school when we saw a young man who "sags" his pants. This is quite popular around here. They buy pants that are much, much too big, then pull them down around the top of their thighs and tighten it with a belt. The problem with this is that they have to physically hold the belt whenever they run to keep their pants from falling down. As my son and I were driving, this young man was crossing the street just as the light changed. He started running to get out of the way of traffic, and his pants fell down around his ankles! He ran the rest of the way across the street in his boxers with his pants down. I thought the man in the car next to us was going to bust his stomach laughing!
