Ban the Grocery Store Sprinklers!
I've been thinking about how grocery stores have automatic sprinklers that spray the vegetables. I am convinced this is a tool to make more money for them! There are so many vegetables that I buy that spoil quickly because of the moisture sprayed on them by the grocery store sprinklers. A good example of this is cilantro. How long does cilantro last in your refrigerator? It only lasts a few days in mine before it starts to spoil. Recently I went to an Asian grocery store and bought cilantro. They don't have the sprinkler system in their stores. That cilantro lasted over a week! Some other vegetables ruined by water are bell peppers and cucumbers. There may be some vegetables that are kept fresher by the water, but I think overall it is a subtle way of making you have to come back and buy more!
