25 Years = 1/4 of a Century, and Half Our Lives

Yesterday we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We are both 50, so have been married half our lives! We decided to do something special to celebrate, so went away for a day.

We decided to drive up to Mendocino/ Ft. Bragg. We had a nice time, but we both decided that neither of us would ever want to live there. We like the weather, and being by the ocean, but it's kind of a hippie community, and it's not really our thing. But it was nice to celebrate there.

The only thing I regret about this trip is that I forgot my camera battery charger, and also the SD card, so I didn't get any pictures. I should have double checked everything, but I let my husband gather the camera things, and he didn't know what to get. We saw some beautiful ocean-scapes, with waves crashing high up against the cliffs. Surprisingly, the only wild life I saw on this trip was one lone deer. I did see some very cute domesticated burros though, as well as some farm raised llamas. :)

We were going to stay up there one more night, but couldn't find a motel we liked, so just drove home. Our own bed is more comfortable, and we get better channels on our tv. :)

If I had it all to do over again, I would marry my husband again because I picked the right one for me! Here's to the next 25. Of course I expect more than that, but I'll take it one chunk at a time. :)

Congratulations on your 25th wedding anniversary. In this day and age it is a major milestone and reason to celebrate for at least a quarter of the year!

Congratulations! We like our own bed too. Given the choice, I pick it anytime we are close enough to get back. :)

May you both be commended for stamina, Delirious. Give me another nine years and I'll be celebrating my 25th divorce anniversary.

You made your bed and even returned the same day to lie in it.

Congratulations! Best wishes for the next quarter of a century and beyond.

Congratulations on your anniversary. I'm seventeen years married in the completed December, but I've a few years to go to catch up with you.
