Floss Holder

I'm posting this to share with a fellow blogger who crafts. My Aunt Reva made this for me probably 30 years ago, and I have used it ever since. I was noticing that it really needs to be laundered, but after 30 years what should I expect? lol Basically she sewed ziplock bags to a "cover". I've actually been thinking of making a new one and making it cuter. As sentimental as I am about using this one Aunt Reva made, the baggies are getting hashed, and the cover is dirty. I think that someone else could probably organize their threads a little better inside each bag, but I just grab out what I want, and throw back in the extra that I don't use. I didn't take a picture of this, but she also sewed little pockets in the back and front. I think on my next one I will make the pockets so that they close so that a thimble could be put in. I will also make it so that I can close the cover with a tie or something.

cute! you should use the freezer bags too, they'd hold up better than the regular ones

We did those for girls' camp using a potholder and half-sized sangwich bags for first aid kits one year, and a button sewed on to go in the pot holder loop to close it.
