Dream a Little Dream

Last night about 3 in the morning, my youngest son came to my room to tell me he was having intestinal cramps. I searched through my medicine box and couldn't find anything that would help. I'm still not sure there even is anything to help intestinal cramps. I think the advice is to not give them anything except fluids. Anyway, I couldn't think of anything to relieve his pain. I was only half awake, so that could be part of the reason. I felt sorry for him, but just didn't know how to help him.
I knew that I had to get up in only a couple of hours to get ready for seminary, and I knew I needed some more sleep to be able to do that, and I knew that my husband has the day off today, so I woke him up and asked him to take care of my son. It's amazing how the male and female minds work differently. He put my son in a warm bathtub. I think that actually helped him. They were making some noise, and I really needed to sleep, so I went to my son's room to sleep. But then I started having dreams that I was late waking up for seminary.
I dreamed that I woke up and looked at the clock, and saw that I was already 20 minutes late. I jumped out of bed and rushed to get dressed. Suddenly I woke up, and realized it was a dream, but for a second didn't remember where I was. When I realized I was in my son's room, I got up and went back to my bed where I had an alarm clock set. But no sooner did I fall asleep than I dreamed again that I woke up 20 minutes late for seminary! Once again, I dreamed that I jumped out of bed and was scrambling to find clothes. I had already planned what I would do for our activity day today, and I was wondering what the students were doing without me. And then I woke up. Gah! Don't you hate those kind of dreams?! It would have been bad enough to have it once, but to have it twice wasn't fair! lol

I don't have many dreams, but it always seems hardest to sleep when an early wake-up is mandatory.

gas-ex works wonders on any kind of stomach or abdominal cramps, because that is usually what is causing them - they are definitely no fun though I used to get those alot, I hope he feels better today!
