Random Blogosphere Thoughts

Recently Inklings asked me to help her post a video to her blog. I have always wondered why she, (and other bloggers whose blogs I read), never put a title to her blog posts. While posting to her blog, I found out why. My blog posts have a separate box for titles. It is located directly above the posting box. Her posting box doesn't have a separate title box. I don't know if this is something that has to be enabled, or if it only comes with certain blog layouts. I guess it really doesn't matter, because if you want to see a particular blog she has written, you can just do a search in the search box. But now I know why she doesn't use that feature. I noticed Looney doesn't either, and wonder if it is for the same reason. In one way it is nice. If you are a follower of their blogs, and you click on their latest post, it will take you to their blog and you will see EVERYTHING they have posted recently. If, however, you click on my title, it will take you only to that post, and you won't be able to see everything else unless you click above on the name of my blog. Okay...does this mean I really am a computer geek?

Some time back, I downloaded Yahoo messenger and AIM. I had some friends that I wanted to be able to chat with, and also my daughter and son. Then this past year I also downloaded Windows Live messenger so that I could chat with my sisters. But then I noticed that the people I used to talk to, including my children, weren't logging on to Yahoo and AIM. I also noticed that those messengers take up quite a bit of computer memory, and sometimes lagged my computer. I have begun to turn off Yahoo much of the time, and I think I deleted AIM (can't remember). So I think occasionally I will log in to Yahoo, but if you don't see me logged in, you will know why.

I am on facebook, and there is a chat box there, but that got to be a little annoying to me (for reasons that shall remain nameless) lol. So I usually appear offline there too. Maybe I'm becoming more of a hermit in my old age. lol So now, not only am I a geek, I'm a hermit too. :)

LOL LOL LOL I loved this post!

You are not a geek, nor getting old...I am 32 and I do not have the patience to chat on messenger (or facebook) any longer either *nodding*.
It is very rare for me to go online to chat nowadays (unless I receive an email saying "URGENT: we need to talk" lol then I rush into messenger.

Fantastic...

Cheers
