Does the Universe Think I Need More Adventure in My Life?

My neighbor is on a camping trip for a few days, so asked me to take care of her animals. She breeds and competes Timbrado Canaries, so has quite a few flight cages in one room that need attention. She also has a cat, fish, and two dogs. You've met Duke on my blog before, and know by now that he needs alot of exercise. So I told my neighbor I would walk the dogs every morning.

It's quite an adventure in itself to walk three dogs at a time. Luckily, I know these dogs, and I know that Duke has to be on the inside, or he will push Charlie in to my legs. And Sally walks best on the left of me. If I get everything set up right, I can walk them with no problem. Two of the dogs where Halties, so that gives me alot of control, so walking three dogs isn't a danger to others. Still, it is exhausting to walk three, and it ends up being a good upper body workout for me.

Today I decided to take them to the school yard to let them off leash to run. The big gate was opened when I went down there. Just as I was going in, a truck came pulling out. They have some workmen putting in new play equipment there. I didn't think much about it, but went in and let the dogs play for about 45 minutes.

The problem came when I went to go home. The workman had locked the gate!!! I walked to the other side of the school to see if the other gate was unlocked, but it wasn't! I wasn't sure what to do. I remembered there used to be a gap under the fence at one point, so I went to see if it would be large enough for the dogs to get under. I guess someone had fixed that hole because there wasn't any space at all. Now I was really in a pickle because I could climb the fence, but the dogs couldn't.

I had a memory of something my neighbor told me. She told me that somehow, one of the dog park people has a key to the school yard. I remembered my neighbor telling me what street one of the dog park people lives on, so I climbed the fence and went to her house. As luck would have it, the owner of the key had given the key to her since she goes to the dog park every day, and lives close to the school. She was able to come over and let my dogs out!

Excuse me...I think I need a nap now....

I don't know why but that reminded me of Mom and Dad being locked in the Wildlife preserve in South Africa. Except you didn't have to climb the gate in your dress. :0)
Glad you were able to figure it out.

My word verification is: reductim
Sounds like a Harry Potter spell
