Black Diamond Mines

My visiting teachers asked if they could drop in and see me today, but my husband was working with a young man on his last merit badge before getting his Eagle Scout award. So we decided to go for a drive to visit. We drove up to Black Diamond Mines and looked around for a few minutes. These ladies are in their 60's, so we didn't hike. but I did see a couple of coyotes. One was a little too elusive, and this one was shot with telephoto. He's a little fatter looking than coyotes I've seen around here in the past.

that first photo is so pretty - I just love all those green hills where you live!

They are green until mid June then they are brown - then after the fires go through they are black---happens every year somewhere in California.

I like seeing pictures from other parts of the USA / world. The diversity of the terrain usually impresses me. Thanks for posting them!
