Scripture for Voting Day

My friend Looney posted his scripture for voting day, so I thought I would post one too. :) This one comes from the Book of Mormon. If you are looking for comfort, this may not be the scripture for you. lol This is council given by Mosiah to his people.

"26 Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and make it your law—to do your business by the voice of the people.
27 And if the time comes that the voice of the people doth choose iniquity, then is the time that the judgments of God will come upon you; yea, then is the time he will visit you with great destruction even as he has hitherto visited this land."

Mosiah 29:26,27

That scripture's been going through my head for the past couple of weeks. I sure hope as a country the majority still want to choose the right!

I wasn't thinking that apocalyptically, but perhaps it is true. There is still so much to do, however, because so many people don't know who Jesus is.

Well, Looney, alot of judgements can come upon the Earth without it being the end of the world. We can have earthquakes and pestilences, all kinds of destruction and problems without it being the end.

I agree with you, the end isn't here yet, there is much to do. There are still many nations of the world that must open to the gospel.

I agree, D. Scary, isn't it?
