I Want to Move!

I have just about reached my limit with the State of California. The only problem is, that with the housing market the way it is, I don't see any way out at the present time. I'm so tired of living in a left wing radical/ leftover hippie state. I just read an email today that said that the CTA...California Teacher's Association, gave money to help the No on Prop. 8 campaign. Part of what bothers me about that is that I know there are many teachers who don't agree with that donation, but can't protest.
I'm so tired of being in a state where the state religion is ecology, devoid of God. I'm tired of living in a State where all true religion is viewed as fanaticism, unless it involves a little red string bracelet that is worn by a majority of movie stars. I'm tired of living in a state where depravity is lauded, and chastity and moral ethics are viewed as warped. I'm tired of living in a state where gang and welfare mentality are rampant. I'm tired of living in a state where illegal aliens are applauded for their illegal entry and are allowed to use our taxpayer money. I'm tired of living in a state where the media seeks not just to entertain, but to brainwash people to accept their political goals.

Okay, rant over....for now....

Hey D...
The sad part about your post, is that CA is practically the Vatican compared to Oregon. 37 more weeks... and I'm outta here!

I was in several different states this summer, on the East Coast, and Utah as well... all tolerate the illegal immigrants, applaud them for coming, Utah even gives them a "driver's privilege" card so they can legally drive... and they get medical cards and free insurance, as well as food stamps and money benefits. All of these hurt those of us who do not. I will explain on my blog at a later time, but suffice it to say that I had a hard time getting M*** a shot she needed because they were all for the illegal immigrant's children and none were available for those of us who pay for our insurance. I am getting sick of it, and am mad at the government for allowing it.

Whoah D,

You are indeed fed up!
From what I have heard, about California, it is an odd state. The whole Pro.8 issue should be reviewed. I do not agree with Gay marriage; but I do concur with the British notion of legal union (a contract signed in a registrar, so that the gay couple may benefit the social benefits).

Here in Portugal, our government prevented its own party to vote on gay marriage, right wing parties voted against, and so gays are not allowed to get married here. However, I think the state should find a way to legalise their situation, because they do pay taxes, just like the rest of us.

This was a good rant, D!

Cheers

Max, The State of California already has civil unions available for same sex partners. It's interesting to me that they want marriage, which is typically viewed as a religious institution, although most religions believe in the bible which speaks against homosexual relations.
