I really liked this! It's amazing to me how much there is about animals intelligence and emotions that we don't know - this was really really cool to see!
I didn't notice until towards the end of the video, the men carrying the signs - I guess of what he was supposed to paint next. This elephant draws better than I do!
My understanding is that this is a fund raising activity to help protect the elephants. I think what the man was carrying around were paintings he was trying to sell to the spectators.
lotta time invested in training there. Specially to get the elephant to draw the whole thing without a command (during the process)and if it is a fund raiser this is a great idea. I had first thought it was an elephant trained to just to paint and it was free drawing (without command) but then i noticed the guy was putting the paint on the brush, and as soon as the it changed colors it went to the flower, i knew sadly the helper (guy putting paint on the brush) knew what he was going to paint next, and destroyed the illusion that the elephant was painting from his mind and not a trained action. Still very cool though! nice find Delores.
