Is it nothing to you?

Today being Easter, I was reminded of a song that my Dad used to quote from often. It was based on Lamentations 1:12. Part of the scripture reads,

"Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by?

There are two things that separate us from God. One is sin, and one is death. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins in the garden of Gethsemane. He paid the price so that if we repent, we can be forgiven. He also overcame death and was resurrected. This is a free gift to all man kind. This is the true message and gift of Easter. This is what the scriptures refer to as "the good news". Is it nothing to us that He suffered for us and paid for our sins? Or do we take advantage of this free gift?
