Dead Bird Tree
Last night my husband and I went out to the store and noticed a bad smell in the air. To me it smelled like rotting meat. I thought at first that it was from the garbage cans that had been put out to the curbs, but I noticed the smell was everywhere we went. My husband pinpointed that the smell was coming from these trees that are in bloom this time of year. I think our city must love these trees because they are growing EVERYWHERE! I remembered that my daughter used to call these "dead bird trees". She was wrong...they shouldn't be called dead bird trees. They should be called "Dead Fish Trees". Yes, definitely a dead fish smell. Ah spring....

Are they crab apple trees? I am allergic to them and elm trees...I hate it when they come into bloom. And Provo is filled with both...I seriously only have allergies in Provo...
They are Ornamental Pear Trees.. I think..
