Well, I have mixed emotions about smiling today. Today is my 50th birthday. While I should smile because I made it 50 years, I can't help thinking of the phrase, "Half a century". I guess it's a matter of looking at the glass half full as opposed to looking at it half empty. So although 50 may be hard to swallow, I'll still leave you with a smile because I'm happy I made it this far!

Well, Happy Birthday to you!!! I definitely consider 50 to still be quite young :)
Congratulations and Best wishes for a wonderful Birthday!
I think you have plenty to celebrate on this your 50th Birthday. You are alive, you have a happy and healthy family and best of all you got mixed up with us LBCers! ;)
If 60 is the new forty... then being 50 really makes you 35!!
That is a great milestone - half a century. It sits well on you. Happy birthday and my best wishes for many many more.
I have 25 years on you so please listen when I say, the age of fifty is just a number. There are so many adventures ahead of you. Enjoy each day and especially this very Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday and remember that you are always my younger sister. :0) I will confess to struggling with each new decade birthday, though. And black roses and jokes are not funny when you change decades. :0)
Happy birthday, you're just two years older than I am so I'm not far away from my 50th. Sure, we're only in our prime!
Happy Birthday! Any birthday celebrated is a great day. My 50's have been the best time of my life. I remarried and am blissfully happy with my new hubby. I started a new career which I love, and we moved out west, which has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. Not all my friends have made it to 50, I'm sad to say, so rejoice in making it this far!
Delirious-Fifty is for freedom...Many happy, healthy and happening returns of this day. God bless you! Keep smiling.
Belated happy birthday.
Just think of it as an excellent score in cricket.
I like Padmum's "Fifty is for freedom" :0)
Happy Belated Birthday! I had not idea you were turning 50 this year! If someone told me, I forgot.
Did you have any "50th Birthday" pranks pulled on you?
