My husband is in Malaysia on business this week, but sent me these pictures of some food he has eaten. Notice that the one meal was served on a banana leaf. It all looks good to me! It makes the hot dogs I planned to make for dinner very unappetizing.
It is very common to eat off plantain leaves in the south of India. When hot food is served on it, the leaf releases a flavour and aroma that is simply out of this world.
