I'm not exactly sure how long he was there, but I know he was there at least 15 minutes. We have a convalescent home down the hill, and they used to flock in the trees nearby. I know they only eat dead meat, so that made us wonder about the convalescent center. ;)

My understanding Nene is that they only eat carrion. So Eddie is safe for now. :)
