Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow! ♪♫

We woke up to snow on Mt. Diablo and on the foothills today. I have lived in Antioch for 14 years, and this is the first time I've seen snow that low before. I had to get out and get some pictures. There were cars parked all along the roads with people stopping to take pictures. Here are a few of Mt. Diablo and the foothills.

My neighbor and I took the dogs up to Contra Loma to get some pictures of the snow there. We forgot how muddy it would be. Here are some pictures of our feet after trudging in mud. It was kind of like either mud snow shoes, or mud high heels. This first one is my "looney" pose. ;) By the way, look carefully at the picture of my neighbor's feet. Look at how close of attention Duke is paying to the ball in her hand. lol

The storm drove the cows down to the lower part of the park, so we had to keep the dogs on leash. Sally loves to bark at them and chase them. You can see in this pic how close they are to the path, and sometimes even closer. As we walked, we saw ice crystals in the grass, so I guess it snowed on the lower trails too. This is the kind of snow I like; just enough to be pretty, but not enough to have to drive in it. :)

It was quite scenic once the sun came peeking through the clouds. I'll be those dogs would really love to be off leash.

Hi D!

Beautiful, beautiful pictures! I like watching snow...from afar.

My favourite picture is the last one: of the tree (it is so winterish)!

Happy Festivities!
