It looks like an American Kestrel---they are my favorite bird. I love having the one in our neighborhood visit my bird feeder for lunch sometimes.....

From far away I thought it was an owl. But after looking up close I could see it wasn't. Dang, I thought it was bringing my Hogwart's letter. ;)
