I've always wondered what 'Black Friday" meant. Does it mean that the stores are finally out of the red? It always sounded like a funeral or something. Usually I meander out about 10:00, but since I woke up early today, I decided to venture out about 7:00. It was almost MY funeral! I have never in my life seen such chaos!
First of all, there were people driving crazy trying to get the one open parking spot. I managed to find one up next to the front sidewalk where it wasn't marked for a fire lane. Then as I was coming in, I happened to see a guy bringing in more carts, so I got a cart even though many people didn't have them. But having a cart brought added danger because it was so crowded, there was barely any room to push a cart! There were such long lines to the register, that the people in line took up all of the aisles!
I have to admit that I didn't really have a shopping list, and had nothing in mind that I wanted to buy, but I thought if I saw something good I would get it. But after being rammed in the heel by someone's cart, and not even being able to see the merchandise because there were so many people lined up in front of it, I decided it wasn't worth it to me, and I left.
I went over to Target and couldn't believe the difference. There was plenty of parking, and there were plenty of carts. I could stroll around easily without bumping in to people. But I didn't really buy much. I think I need a shopping list. lol
