Today's Snippets

I found something at the store the other day that may just explain my last post about the man with tissue stuffed up his nose.  From what I can tell, these are small scented things that you stick up your nose so that you can cover other smells in the air.  I can think of many times when this might come in handy.....

This next object was a gift given to me by a woman I am coaching in english.  This is the best gift I've gotten in a long time.  It's a needle threader!  You put the needle in, and then raise a small hook that passes through the eye of the needle.  Then you wrap the thread around the hook and VOILA!  Your needle is threaded!  With my aging eyes, this is a wonderful invention!!  :)

OK, I have to admit that the needle threader looks a lot like a deformed Gumby. I would never have guessed its function!

Kinda funny, I had the same first thought as Euripedes. :)

Delicate threaders with a button type of base with just a small triangular wire frame sticking out is quite common with our haberdashers. Shall send you a photograph by mail.

I shall send you another mail that I sent some friends which should amuse you about the phenomenon of avoiding unpleasant smells.
