Red Earrings

I know that stylists will cringe when I say that I like to have matching earrings for my outfits.  But I really do, and I have never really liked the style that has earrings that are a different color from the outfit.  Anyway, when I was in the States back in March, I somehow misplaced a pair of red earrings.  I actually have two other pair, but one pair is too big, and the other pair is too fancy.  So while I was in America this summer, I searched for red earrings.

Do you know what the sales clerks told me?  They all said that there aren't any red earrings for sale right now!  Yes, you heard that right.  Actually, it's not 100% true, because I did see a couple of pair of red earrings.  But those earrings were either too large, or not the right shade of red.  But I went to almost every store imaginable during my month long stay, and simply could not find red earrings.  One sales clerk told me that people have been asking her for some, so she finally told her boss that they need to order some.

I happened to see a news article the other day that said that the "in color" this season is red.  So are they just not going to be wearing red earrings with their outfits?  Or am I just a style guru, and am just now setting the trend?

Allow me to throw a red herring at you. How would it look if I wore earrings?

Why not try making them?

Rummy, I think it might actually look okay on you. :)

Grannymar, I actually thought about doing that. But I couldn't find any red beads that I liked.

You could use buttons. I have done that in the past. I used to wear clip-ons and the backs are easily available in craft shops. Most of them originate from China, so you should have no problem.

I like to match my earrings too (when I wear them) - try looking online for some!
