I've been watching a show called "Warrior Road Trip". It's a reality show about two Maasai warriors who went on a road trip through America. There are a couple of things that really struck me funny. At one point they were in Texas, and went to visit a cattle farm. They had never ridden horses before, but had ridden goats, camels, and other animals. But they took to horses very well. When they first arrived where the cattle were, the cattle came running. Then suddenly the cattle took off in the other direction as fast as they could! The Maasai warrior said, "Are you sure these are your cows? They don't seem to know you!" Then the show cut to footage of them in their home country. The cattle there are like pets to them. They sing to them so that they know their voice. They lead them instead of herding them. It made me laugh to think about them wondering if the Texan's cattle actually belonged to them. :) They told the farmers they should sing to their cows. They began to sing the Maasai songs to them. I'm not sure how the cowboys felt about that.
If you have a chance to see this show, check it out. It's really entertaining. :)

One of India's most cherished cowboys is Krishna. In fact he was the King of cowboys. He played the flute to his cattle! Indian cowherds too sang while they were herding cows or sheep.
Krishna played music for his herd and they willingly followed him. Others sing and unite with the herd.
Seems other cowboys could learn something from this approach.

Maxi, I distinctly recollect old cow boy movies where cow boys would sing around campfires!
