Mouse in the House

I saw a mouse in my bathroom the other day. Last night I heard it chewing on something next to my nightstand. I knew I couldn't do anything about it in the middle of the night, and didn't want to wake up my husband, so I tried to ignore it and go to sleep. I heard it rustle around for a minute, then there was silence. The next sound I heard was my cat sharpening his claws on the carpet. I could tell that he was over by the bedroom door. The next sound I heard was definitely a POUNCE! And then I had to get up to go to the bathroom, but it was dark, and I was so afraid I was going to step on a dead mouse in the dark. I tip-toed gingerly to the bathroom, making sure I didn't step on any surprises.

I think the cat missed the mouse, because I haven't seen a dead mouse laying around anywhere. I guess it's time to get out a trap.

I hope the cat is not hiding his treasure.

I hope he didn't chase the mouse into someone else's room. Shut the cat out of your room tonight and set a trap. If the cat did get it just wait a few days and you can follow your nose to find it. :0+

I tried using a humane trap. I was able to catch the mouse and release him. But every morning I'd have another mouse. I finally realized I might be letting the same one out every day! So I released him the other side of our stream and he never came back. LOL

INklings: Wouldn't I see some sign of blood or something? I don't see any signs.

Grannymar: Heaven help us if I find a dead mouse in an unexpected place!! lol

Nene: I think it's probably still in my room.... I think he missed it when he pounced. I'll listen and see if I hear it chewing again tonight. lol

Geri: Once I used a humane trap to catch one for my friend's snake. She put it in a cage, and it chewed it's way out, and made a home in her house. lol

How many clicks does it take to get to the center of a mouse in the house?
