Fail!

So I was browsing through a magazine and saw another recipe I wanted to try. The recipe basically is that you cook a spaghetti squash, then simmer it in some marinara sauce. Then you had some frozen peas, and heat until they are tender. Then you add some Ricotta cheese. You stir that up, and then serve it with some parmesan cheese on top. It sounded good to me. It looked nasty. lol Actually, it tasted okay to me, but.......my family hated it. FAIL! Oh well, back to the old drawing board. Or in this case, cutting board...

Welcome to the Disaster kitchen! LOL. The cook that never made a disaster never made anything, how do you think all those world famous recipes were invented?

I bet your family didn't save the dish to put on the Christmas tree like my brothers did with my leaden wheaten bread. Yes. They gift wrapped it, and gave it to my favourite uncle saying it was a new Doorstop!

LOL LOL I am so sorry to hear that!

I love marinara sauce (well, it is the basic Italian sauce, and me being married to an Italian, I had to learn it lol).

But don't quit; try basic sauces first and then move on to the more complex ones.
Have you tried Spaghetti al limone? It is simple and delicious!!! Look for it!

Cheers

I've never heard of boiling it in the marinara sauce, but I have heard of cooking the squash alone and then serving marinara sauce over it. I've never tried it but have always been meaning to. Maybe I won't now. :0+
