Every Day Life

My son in El Salvador asked me to send him pictures of every day life. I think that means he's homesick. :) But have you ever tried to take pictures of every day life? Either I'm not very creative, or this is tough! Maybe it's just that our every day life is boring. I've already sent him pictures of us eating dinner. I could take a picture of us watching tv..... I did make it out to the reservoir yesterday and got a couple of good pictures, but then my battery died. :( I missed some pictures of a peregrine falcon. :( But here are a few I took this weekend, and one my husband took. I'm going to try to get more of family. If you are wondering about the blur in the windmill picture, it's dog slobber on the window. :S

I remember doing "a day in the life of me" blog entry for some blog carnival a couple of years ago. Basically I kept the camera handy and every hour or so I snapped a picture of whatever I was doing. (Here's the link to that entry: My Day.) It was kind of cool to see the other entries, and I was thinking recently that it might be fun to do again. Maybe your son might enjoy something like that.

You need to get pictures of doing chores. Making his bed, cleaning up, ... Taking some beloved things to the Salvation Army. That is what he is missing!

I love your picture of the windmills on the hills. You are an artist with the camera! The seabird is great too. Is it a pelican? I think he just wants to feel like he is home again. You tend to forget things when you are immersed in a different culture and place.

Pelicans are always amazing as they fly. That is quite a nice shot.

And I hope you got some of his brothers. You should take the camera to church, too, get some of the ward and his friends. Take pictures of places he always goes too and send them all to both missionaries.

Hey D!

No, it is not easy to get every day life pics, because we seem to feel like fools when doing it for a certain purpose lol *nodding*...

But I can tell you that yours are great, lady D!

You live in a beautiful area (you and Looney)!

Cheers
