Hot Flashes

I was standing in line today when I started to feel hot. I always carry a chinese fan with me, and I'm not shy about using it. I don't care if people think I'm having a hot flash. If I feel hot, I feel hot, and I'm not going to sacrifice comfort for vanity. :) So I pulled out my fan and started fanning away. An older lady ahead of me in line pulled out a folded piece of paper and started fanning herself too. She looked back and me and laughed and said, "I'm having a hot flash." I said, "Well, I didn't know if I was having a hot flash or not, but if you are hot too, then maybe it's just hot in here." Suddenly the man behind me pulled out a fan too and said he had been feeling hot too. That made both of us women feel better. It wasn't hot flashes, it was just hot! lol

Researchers have found that global warming is directly attributable to the number of baby boomers having hot flashes at any one time.:-)

lol Ramana - tell that to Al Gore, okay?

Othersideblue, I think it's just embarassing because any time an older woman fans herself, people make comments asking if she is having a hot flash.

Inklings, does Al Gore have hot flashes?

Well I don't have hot flashes, but I am ALWAYS hot! So I carry a fan with me everywhere I go. My students in a concert could see me from the stage because of my fan waving. I say, "Fan-wavers of the world, UNITE!"

On a different slant, if women go through MENopause, does that mean men go through WOMENopause? Just wondering....

BTW, my verification word is rreva... She'd get a kick out of this too!
