Doll House Renovations

I fixed the basic structure of the dollhouse. Then I remembered that we had bought some paint samples when we were picking out colors for our house. I really liked this brown, but we decided to go with the gray. So I decided to use this sample to paint my dollhouse! I also had a trim sample. As I was painting, I had an idea. I think I'm going to turn this dollhouse in to a gingerbread house! I was thinking that I can make the candy ornaments out of bread dough clay. Do you have any other ideas I could use?

I think that's a great idea! One time I made a bird house into a gingerbread house to use as a Christmas decoration. I would suggest that you go into craft stores AND fabric stores to look for stuff. You can use buttons for decorations too. Some buttons may even be decorated to look like candy, but teeny red buttons would look like "red hots". Be sure to post a picture when you're done. We have a craft store that starts putting out Xmas stuff in July.

Nene, I'm wondering about having buttons and things if this is going to be played with by children. What do you think?

Use your salt dough, and roll it out . Find templates and trim it out with an exacto.

I can't think of any ideas right now but I would google pictures of gingerbread houses because I'm sure you could get a lot of ideas there!
