Life's Changes

My daughter is graduating from college this weekend. She said she didn't care if she actually walked in the ceremony or not, but I felt it was important. She has spent almost 4 years working toward her degree, and I feel like she needs to celebrate that fact. I'm taking my kids out of school for this. I really want them to see her graduate, and learn from her example. I want them to know that we feel this is an important accomplishment.

My daughter has also been preparing her papers to apply to serve a mission for our church. I think she will always be glad she did this. I know I have always been happy that I served a mission. It has truly been a "loving remembrance" for me. What a great opportunity to be an ambassador for the Lord. What a great opportunity to focus her entire life for 18 months on the spiritual. Women serve for 18 months only, whereas the young men serve 24 months. Of course we are curious as to where she might be called. She isn't fond of the cold, so I hope it's someplace warm. :)

Congratulations on both the graduation and the mission thoughts---we wish her luck with whatever she decides.

That's so cool! I think it's really awesome that she's going to go on a mission and it's so neat for her to be graduating!!

Hi D!

Congratulations for both you and your daughter: you must be proud :D!

I wish you daughter serves in a warm place too: I dislike cold, so I wish her what I would wish myself lol.

Once again, congrats; and don't drool too much at the ceremony ;)!

Cheers
