Random Thoughts: Ecology, Theology, and Flower pressing

I just saw a commercial for a church. It said, "What if a church combined "ecology" with "theology"? Would you attend?" You know, I think they might have something here. In California, ecology has become the state religion, so people here would feel more comfortable attending that type of church. I'm all for ecology. I do believe in protecting the environment, and taking care of this world. We have been given stewardship over this world. But while ecology might be something God wants us to do, let's not confuse ecology with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is more about saving souls, than saving the environment. But hey, I bet they get some new members out of this tactic.

For those of my family members who press flowers:
I was reading in Better Homes and Gardens about flower pressing. They said that if you want to enhance the color of the dried flower, press it with wax paper after it is dried. Be sure to put a pressing cloth between the wax paper and the iron though. I don't do alot of flower drying, but I have some flowers in random books here and there. I think I'm going to try the wax paper!

I am going to have to try that. I do press flowers and have a flower press similar to the one pictured, but I notice that after a few years the flowers begin to fade.

Hi D!

I have always been interested in drying flowers but never got into it really - but I took notes of your tip and I will try it whenever the time comes for me to do it: thanks :D!

About the church and its ad: it may work!

I wish you a fantastic week ahead! :D

Cheers

i also read somewhere about microwaving flowers - haven't tried it though - and i thought there was a religion that included ecology - isn't that Taoism?
