I Hate Getting Older

So it's bad enough that I just turned 48, and can see 50 around the corner. I just got an invitation today to attend my 30th High school reunion. 30????!!! Am I that old???!!! Isn't that what old people do, attend their 30th??!!

Just so you know, I'm not interested in going. I grew up in Texas, and attended my first semester of High school there. Then we moved to Kentucky, where I finished high school. I had a couple dozen friends, but most of them were younger than me. If I went to a class reunion, there really wouldn't be anyone there I would know. I can't think of anyone I would want to see again from my grade. The depressing thing is that I was thinking about the teachers I had back then, and I figure they must be close to 80 now!! It's tough to get old.....

I think you ought to start calling yourself Grandma - at least in the mirror. It could be right around the corner! :0)
Also, it might be tough to get old, but I don't want to be young again.

Um, it is rude to complain about being old to people who are as much older than you as I am. :0) JK Think about me turning 60 this year and you will feel much younger. But I know what you mean and I have never gone to a high school reunion. Of course, having moved 28 times since high school, the only invitation I ever got came this year through classmates.com. I didn't go. And by the way, I actually went to 4 high schools, one each year.

Getting old is not for the faint of heart. Hang in there.

By the way, my first 7 grandchildren were born by the time I was your age. :0)

And Mae West had it right, Old age ain't for sissies.

Getting older is the natural process that can not be avoided. At somewhere I ever read a saying said: Just enjoy our life because the life itself is beautiful.
