Slip of the Tongue

My oldest son and I were in the produce section of the grocery store when the vegetable sprinklers came on. He reached his hand out and splashed the spray of water. I said to him, "That water is recycled." He said, "No it's not." I said, "Yes, I came to this store on a field trip with your brother, and they said the water is recycled." Just then a man nearby looked at me and said, "It's recycled?!" I said, "Well, they have a filter." He said, "That's it. I'm not buying vegetables here." He had a hint of a smile......or did he?
