You Know You Are Getting Older When You Don't Look Like Your Driver's License Picture Anymore
It's bad enough that I'm approaching my 48th birthday without having to be reminded that I don't look like my license picture anymore. I recieved a notice in the mail that I have to renew my license in person. I have to say that I've been lucky so far because I've been able to renew by mail every other time since I moved here 13 1/2 years ago. I have to admit that it has been embarassing to show my license lately because it looks like a picture of my younger sister. (If I had one) The nice thing is that I don't have to take any test, I just have to do an eye exam and have a new picture taken. Still, going to the DMV is never fun.

I've had to take a new picture every time I've lost my license (which unfortunately has been a couple times). I think nowadays they make you take it more often than before to keep it current (and so they can charge you each time). I remember when my mom had her picture that showed her with some old school glasses from when I was little... only I was in high school at the time!
