Now Who's Laughing?

I was listening to a radio talk show today and the host played a montage of audio clips of President Obama. Before he played them, he said to his guest, "Imagine the repercussions if Pres. Bush had said these things." I could not believe what I then heard. It made Dan Quayle look like a school girl with his "potato" spelling. But because it's the media's darling, the media didnt' portray him as an idiot the way they would have portrayed Pres. Bush or Mr. Quayle.

Here are some of Obama's latest:

(from the associated press)

"Obama jumbled his words as he welcomed guests to the White House to observe the Mexican holiday, sending the crowd into laughter before he referred to the day correctly.

"Welcome to Cinco de Cuatro — Cinco de Mayo at the White House," said Obama, in what appeared to be an attempt to note they were celebrating on the fourth of May instead of the fifth."

I heard this next clip, but I found the transcript on Rush Limbaugh's site.

"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in...in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

I started to put some youtube videos showing more of his gaffes, but I thought that the videos were too disrespectful. Because yes, even though I don't agree with his policies, and even though I'm scared for our future, I still respect the office. My point of this post is that the poor image Bush got was fostered by the media. He didn't make any worse gaffes that Obama, but the liberal media attacked and I believe it permanently hurt his public image.
