These workers aren't too sure about Sally, and she's not too sure about them. She actually likes people, but she is a little afraid of men, and especially men carrying equipment. And she's very protective of me. She has been barking at these workers when they come near her. I think they are afraid of her because she is so big. And her bark is big, so I don't blame them. I don't want her bothering them, so I have her penned off in the kitchen/family room area. I can't even let her outside because we have workers out there too working on a cement pad for our back yard. So she comes to the gate of the kitchen and barks if they get very close.
I have to laugh at one of the workers who seems particularly afraid of her. Quite often, as he passes by when she is barking, he says something in Spanish that sounds to me like, "No soy carnitas." I might have that grammar wrong, I'm not sure, but the English equivalent to that could be something like, "I'm not meat". :)
(Maybe Twist can give a better translation. )

that's hilarious, poor guy! and poor Sally for having to be penned up!
You could fix all that with a shoelace muzzle---call Inklings for directions. lol
