Grrrrrr

So I decided to watch the Associated Press' video about the police officers killed in shootout in Oakland this week. I thought it was a very fair report, up until the end. They simply reported the facts, and showed a picture of the suspect. But then at the very end of the report, they brought up the recent incident of the "unarmed man" who was shot by a Bart security guard. Why did they bring that up at the end of this story? It had nothing to do with this story. There were riots at that time, and much of it was pointed at the Oakland P.D., but the police weren't the people who shot him. That "poor, innocent, racially targeted" man that was killed, happened to also be a mentally ill man who appeared threatening to the security guard. But because of his race, people decried it as racism. Now, because the suspect in this story is of the same race, the Associated Press is trying to link this to racism also. They ignore the fact that this man was a parolee who had violated his parole term. They ignore that there was a warrant out for his arrest. They ignore the fact that he had an automatic weapon and opened fire on the police. for the left wing press...it's all about race.
