Braces

All of my life I have disliked my smile because of my crooked teeth. But for one reason or another, I could never afford to get braces. In addition, I was told that I would have to have 4 teeth pulled to straighten my teeth. Maybe I'm a little too sentimental about my teeth, but I hate the thought of pulling 4 healthy teeth. I always told myself that if something happened to those teeth and they had to be pulled, then I would get braces. So now that I've been told I WOULDN'T have to have any pulled, I'm starting to seriously consider braces. He said I could even get Invisalign. I seem to remember that my insurance will pay for one family member to get braces. My two younger kids' teeth are fine, so maybe I will take advantage of that. My teeth are really taking a beating being so crooked right now, and I have chipped a couple, and two more are cracked. I may need to do this to save the teeth I have! I'm seriously thinking about it.

Hmmm. Maybe I need a second opinion. I was told once that I'd need four teeth pulled in order to get braces too. Of course, braces or invisalign isn't an option for me until I get a real job with real benefits.

You definitely should go for it, especially since your insurance will cover part of it.

I had four teeth pulled to get my braces - 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. I really wish I had both of those bottome teeth now. :0#

oh i would do it! invisalign wouldn't even show and think how exciting it would be once your teeth were fixed!

OK---I usually don't have much to say about this stuff but if you want braces and straight teeth go for it---the bill if you do it on time is a little over a hundred a month---quit drinking pop---quit eating out for lunches or whatever to make up the money---BOTTOM LINE IF YOU WANT TO DO IT---DO IT.

If it's something you want to do, you should go for it.
Nene - I never knew you had teeth pulled to get your braces.

I am under the impression that after the teen years, braces are not advisable. I may be wrong but you might like to check this out before you venture into this adventure.

Almost all my teeth have been pulled out and I use caps!
