Ornaments

As I was putting ornaments on the tree, I thought about each one and about how they aren't really fancy, but they have sentimental value. Here are some that I like that we have had for awhile. The first picture is of our tree this year. It's not the best picture, but I was too lazy to go back down and take a better one. The second is of a nativity that my daughter brought me from Jerusalem. The third and fourth ones I like because I like nativities. The next two were made by my sons in elementary school. The bear was made by Inklings, and sent to me when I was a missionary in Taiwan about 24 years ago! The angel I bought in China. I was so happy to actually find some ornaments that were religious in nature in China. Some of them are Mary and baby Jesus, and some are angels. The only other religious thing I got there was what they call a German Candle Pyramid. It had the characters of the nativity surrounding it. These are just a few of the ornaments and decorations that I am fond of.

I don't even have any Christmas decorations anymore. Every year I think I should buy a tree, some ornaments, etc. during the after Christmas sales. Then every year I spend too much on presents for everyone, and don't have the money to do it. One of these years I might actually get my act together and do my shopping early. Then I can load up on all that stuff when it comes out. Not that it matters much - I rarely spend Christmas at home anyway.

I was telling you that I liked the angels, the bear, and the nativity that your daughter brought you from Jerusalem!

I also liked the tree: it's gorgeous!!
