New Employment for Stay at Home Moms?

A recent news article reports that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has asked Ben & Jerry's ice cream to use breast milk in their ice cream. "PETA's request comes in the wake of news reports that a Swiss restaurant owner will begin purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers and substituting breast milk for 75 percent of the cow's milk in the food he serves," the statement says."

They may be on to something here. Eat the ice cream, but lose the fat when you donate breast milk! The only draw back: who wants to eat breast milk ice cream?????

Thanks for the laugh! Though, it would give us more money right now... :)

I saw this on the news, and they quoted Ben & Jerry's comment as something to the effect of, "We think that the breast milk is better used for the babies." lol

ROFL...

To answer your question: not me! I like cow milk and the consistency it offers to ice creams (breast milk is not the same thing)...

And I have another question: will they use breast pumps on women to retrieve the necessary amounts of milk required to produce an ice cream? Can you imagine the scene?

Cheers

I actually heard somewhere that women can NOT sell their breast milk, not even to other mother's because of the risk of transferring disease.
I'll be curious if something ever comes of this.
