It's Going to Be a Long Four Years

Well, I'm not at all surprised by the outcome of the election. I didn't think the Republican party chose the best candidate, and I don't feel McCain put up a good fight. I felt weeks ago that he had already resigned himself to losing.

I have to admit that I'm really afraid for our country. It's not just my suspicions of Obama and fears about his policies. My fear is based on how the American public is changing as a people. I was sickened to read that all abortion initiatives were soundly defeated. But hey, the farm animals are protected. Our farm animals are so precious, so important, we need to protect them from abuse and inhumane conditions. I voted for that proposition because I felt it was important. But what disgusts me is that the American public values the life of a chicken more than a human life. We rally around farm animals, and can't even protect young girls from getting abortions without parental notification. It's scary to see what moral direction this country is headed.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but there is a chinese saying that says that we must first work on ourselves, then our family, then our country, and only then will there be peace under heaven. Somehow we have to help the people of America to develop more moral values. If not, we are headed in to some very dark times.

The next four can't possibly be as dark as the last eight.

help ourselves? you mean americans? Blah we are way to busy pouring money into other countries where they dont want us. But we shall force them to take the aid and charity care even if thru military means. Help americans.. there is no profit in that why should we bother.
