Shark Attack

I just read about a shark attack near San Diego. In all fairness to the shark, the swimmer wasn't supposed to be swimming in that area. The shark can't tell the difference between a human and a seal. But it is very tragic, and reminds us that nature isn't kind, so we need to be careful. This from a mother whose sons are currently on a kayak trip. gulp....

I have done some long ocean swims too while preparing for a triathlon, like the San Diego victim. It is always unnerving to ponder what might be lurking below, but better to shut it out of the mind and keep swimming.

The other side of the issue is that there are a very large number of people in the Pacific from San Diego to Stinson Beach, but shark attacks are rare.

D,

I also heard of this attack! What a shame *nodding*!

Kayak trip...isn't that usually in rivers? If it is the case, they are safe :D! If not, we shall pray for them to be safe :D!

Cheers
