Oh Jerusalem

Oh, Jerusalem, by Greg Olson,

My daughter has been accepted to participate in a study abroad program in Jerusalem this summer. She will get college credit for the classes she takes there. She will be taking Old Testament, New Testament, Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Modern Near Eastern studies focusing on Judaism, and Modern Near Eastern Studies focusing on Islam.

As part of her school term there, she will participate in many educational tours. Here is a list of some of the places she will visit:
--EGYPT
Negev, Tel Beersheba, Zin Overlook, Avdat, Cairo, Taba, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Saggara, Memphis, Luxor, West bank of the Nile, including Valley of the Kings and Funerary temple of Ramses III, Citadel.
--Jordan
Mt Nebo, Madaba, Macherus, Petra, Amman,
--Jerusalem to Galilee
Sea of Galilee, Nof Ginnosar, Tabgha, Mt. Tabor, Nain, Ban Ha-Shelosha, Bet Shean, Gamla, Qazrin, Mediterranean field trip, Akko, Templar Cemetary, Caesearea, Bethlehem and Shepherd's field,
--Last Week WalkBethany, Bethphage, Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit, Gethsemane, Cenaculum, St. Peter in Galicantu, Garden Tomb

She has a really busy summer ahead of her, but in my opinion, it is really a choice opportunity to get this kind of education.

Wow! That is so cool! I always thought it would be amazing to study abroad. What is her major by the way cause I don't think I know?

She is majoring in Media arts. It's too bad, but I think she doesn't have room in her luggage to take a good video camera with her. She does have a small digital video camera that we gave her, but it's not the best quality.

This should be a great experience. I always wanted to see about signing up, but got married and had kids instead. What a rip ;-)
